Seven Deadly Sins Haven't Killed Me Yet

I am in the process of re-ripping (Is that a word?) my CDs. Many years ago, 2003 I think, I ripped my CDs to mp3. At the time, storage was at a premium so those files are of a tolerable, but low quality 128 mp3. I want to clear those shelves because my DVD collection far exceeds my CDs and hard drive storage is cheap. Also, I rarely pull a CD to listen to as I head straight to the digital files. S000000, I’m re-ripping in the Flac format for archiving and storing the physical CDs elsewhere. I ripped most of the classical section over the weekend excluding Kronos Quartet. Kronos is one of those ensembles that can do no wrong. Their choice of composers, singers, interpretation and execution are brilliant. Though I am strictly digital these days, I will always buy a hard copy of the latest Kronos CD. In April, they are in Durham and I contemplate a rare road trip.
Some of the Kronos I’m ripping now.

Here’s a short video about the collaboration of Kronos Quartet with Inuit throat singer Tanya Tagaq.
